The Brick Development Association (BDA)

The BDA is a representative in the UK and Ireland for the brick and paving industries. The aim of the BDA is to encourage clay bricks and pavers as the materials that should be used by builders, engineers, developers, regulators, property owners and architects.

The BDA gives free technical and architectural lectures, regarding brickwork, to universities and colleges of architecture and engineering across the UK. The association also provides CPD seminars for architects already practising in the industry.

The BDA also organises the Annual Brick Awards. The Awards give recognition for excellence in design and construction using brick. Each year 15 trophies and 50 certificates are given to winning projects. The architect, material manufacturer and brickwork contractor are all acknowledged for each project.

The British Precast Concrete Federation (BPCF)

The BPCF is a trade association for precast concrete manufacturers. The aims of the BPCF are to promote precast concrete in the construction industry and to distribute information through shared knowledge, in order to add value to its member companies.
