The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC)

The APHC is a trade association for the plumbing and heating industry in Wales and England. The APHC works with government, authorities, unions and organisations on behalf of its members. CORGI - previously the Council Of Registered Gas Installers

CORGI is best known for operating the Mandatory Gas Registration Scheme in the UK. However, this vital service for plumbers and gas engineers was taken over in April 2009 by the Gas Safe Register. The Gas Safe Register

The Gas Safe register vets gas engineers and plumbers working with gas, in order to ensure they are competent, qualified and legally allowed to work with gas. This ensures the utmost safety for consumers in the UK. All businesses working with gas, both employed and self-employed, must be Gas Safe Registered.
